Anita holds community involvement in extreme importance. Her endeavours involve chairing the Ridge Meadows Hospital Gala, the Meadowridge School Gala, the Meadowridge School Golf Tournament, co-chairing the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation’s charity golf tournament ‘Drive FORE Babies’, chairing the “Helping Hands FORE Health” golf tournament, and taking on the role as the President of the 2009 BC Disability Games. She has also served several years on the Executive of the Board of Directors for the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.
In 2009 Anita was awarded the President’s Award from BC Sport in recognition of the leadership, commitment and dedication she demonstrated in her performance as the President of the 2009 BC Disability Games. That same year she was also nominated as Business Person of the year for the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Chamber of Commerce: Business Excellence Awards.
