Anita Perler, co-founder of Perler Financial Group, brings forth a business education from Capilano University & BCIT, and more than 25 years’ experience in the financial industry. Anita has successfully completed the Investment Funds in Canada Course (CIFC), the Branch Manger’s Examination Course (BM), holds the ALMI designation (Associate, Life Management Institute), the ACS Designation (Associate, Customer Service – Life Insurance), FLMI Level One Certificate, in addition to several other industry related courses. Anita continues to broaden her knowledge in the financial industry and business through ongoing education.
Her role as Chief Operations Officer involves corporate relations and overseeing the general operations of the firm. In particular, her leadership, organization and communication skills, coupled with her precision to detail contribute to the efficiency of the operations for Perler Financial Group. Anita is also responsible for the overseeing the special events Perler Financial Group hosts. Anita has coordinated and chaired special events for over 30 years, so you can be assured that should you attend a Perler Financial Group client event, you are in for a treat!
On a personal note, Anita feels fortunate to work alongside of her husband, Harry, for the last quarter of a century in a business that feels more like a fulfilling lifestyle rather than a career. Together they have two daughters; both in pursuit of careers in the medical field.
Anita holds community involvement in extreme importance. From her early days as the Vice President of her business club at university, through her years as a volunteer in community events and non-profit community groups, Anita’s love for service continuously grows. Her endeavors involve chairing the Ridge Meadows Hospital Gala, the Meadowridge School Gala, the Meadowridge School Golf Tournament, co-chairing the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation’s charity golf tournament ‘Drive FORE Babies’, chairing the “Helping Hands FORE Health” golf tournament, and taking on the role as the President of the 2009 BC Disability Games. Anita continues to make service a major part of her life as she is currently serving on the Executive of the Board of Directors for the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation.
In 2009 Anita was awarded the President’s award from BC Sport in recognition of the leadership, commitment and dedication she demonstrated in her performance as the President of the 2009 BC Disability Games. That same year she was also nominated as Business Person of the year for the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Chamber of Commerce: Business Excellence Awards.

Leslie Marsden comes to Perler Financial Group with extensive knowledge from having been in
an executive role in the financial planning industry for over a decade.
Leslie graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has successfully completed her Investment Funds of Canada Course (CIFC), the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Branch Manager’s Examination Course (BM). She continues to expand on her knowledge with ongoing leadership, business, and industry-related educational programs.
As Operations Manager, Leslie is responsible for assisting the COO with the general operations of Perler Financial Group. Leslie leads the administrative team which helps our advisors serve our clients with exemplary service. Leslie ensures that all of our firm’s departments function cohesively to ensure our clients’ needs are met. Leslie has developed strong administrative systems and leveraged technology to ensure our firm delivers on its commitments to our clients. Leslie’s strong leadership skills, extensive administrative experience in the financial industry, attention to detail, and a positive attitude make her an invaluable team member at Perler Financial Group.
Leslie has a passion for travel, enjoys spending time with her family, and playing softball.
Laura joined Perler Financial Group in late 2009. She holds three designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), and Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA).
Before Perler Financial, she worked in the banking industry since 1991 and has been helping people with their financial planning since 2002.
Harry has known Laura since 1994 when she and her husband had owned a family restaurant in Coquitlam. Laura knows and understands the importance of excellent work ethics, great communication, client appreciation, and industry knowledge.
Laura believes in building long-term relationships with clients and works with them to help achieve their goals by developing long-term strategies. Her friendly demeanour, combined with her education and professional experience, make Laura an incredible asset to the team.
Laura assists Harry & David with the comprehensive financial plans for clients. Her skills in number crunching and calculations coupled with her knowledge in tax, retirement, and estate planning make her contributions to the firm vital.
She remains on top of her work, creating detailed and thorough plans, so don’t be surprised if you receive a phone call from Laura reminding you to book a time to get your financial plan updated with Harry & David!
Michelle joined our team in May with over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, as well as many years working as a small business owner.
After taking a break from the finance industry to raise a family, she continued managing businesses with her husband. Michelle then started a 10+ year career in banking, where she furthered her skill set in client experience and team management. While working at the bank, in addition to running multiple small businesses at the same time, Michelle quickly adapted to balancing many roles at once. Michelle understands the importance of treating each client as an individual and is able to customize an experience to cater to the personal needs of everyone who walks in the door. She comes with a reputation of professionalism, kindness and helpfulness, all while simultaneously staying detail-oriented and organized. Michelle’s diverse background, seasoned leadership and exceptional time management skills make her an asset to the Perler team.
Michelle loves spending time outside with her family, especially her sweet dog Hemi. She loves to travel to sunny spots for hiking and some R&R. She also enjoys cooking a homemade meal for her loved ones at home.
Christine came to Perler Financial Group in 2020 with more than 20 years administrative experience, most of which is in the financial industry. Much of her vast knowledge in the field of Life Insurance came upon completing her Life Insurance exams and working as an assistant for an advisor specializing in segregated funds. Although she held key roles with various wealth management firms, two firms in Saskatoon, she held pivotal roles providing exemplary administrative support to its financial advisors.
Originally from Coquitlam until 1989 when she moved to Saskatoon, she returned to BC in 2016 to pursue her career in the investment and insurance industry. We are pleased to have Christine as a key part of the Perler Financial team as the Executive Assistant to Harry Perler. Her warm and inviting demeanour combined with her strong administrative and educational background makes her invaluable to us.
When she’s not at work, you will find Christine hiking and wandering through the many trails in the Port Coquitlam area with her pup Teddie or spending time with family members.
Stefanie has been part of the Perler team since 2007, bringing along with her 13 years’ experience in customer service environments.
As first impressions are of great importance upon entering the office, Stefanie ensures the reception is run smoothly and efficiently. The welcoming environment of the firm is due to Stefanie’s warm disposition and genuine interest in our clients’ health and wellbeing. As such, don’t be surprised if Stefanie gets to know you by name, starts to memorize what you like in your coffee, and learns more about your interests when you come into our reception while waiting for your appointment.
Aside from being responsible of her domain of the reception area, Stefanie helps Harry prep his files and assists other team members with a variety of administrative tasks.
Stefanie’s keen nature and friendly demeanour make her a wonderful member of the Perler Financial team.
Lisa joined Perler Financial Group in 2020 bringing over ten years of experience working with fast paced leading wealth management firms. Lisa’s expertise providing front line administrative support for senior advisors, combined with her dynamic personality and “can-do” attitude is an attribute to our firm.
She has a BCIT education which includes but is not limited to a high-level of knowledge with Microsoft applications. She continues to grow professionally by increasing her knowledge through industry education. Lisa is passionate about learning, sharing knowledge and creating an amicable working environment.
In Lisa’s leisure time, she can be found exploring a backroad or ATV’ing. She enjoys travelling, walking her dog Levi with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. She is also obsessed with all things Disney!
Mercedes joined the Perler team in October 2020. She comes to us with a background in journalism and communications. She graduated with honors with distinction from the BCIT Broadcast and Online Journalism program in May 2020, where she received hands on experience in radio, television, and digital media. She uses her skillset to help produce and edit the Perler Wealth videos, podcasts and digital content.
Mercedes’ attention to detail has her always striving to put out the best content on all social media platforms. She loves trying new ideas to create engaging and educational content.
In her free time, Mercedes enjoys hot yoga and the odd dance class. You can even once in awhile see her baking up a storm in the kitchen. Anything chocolate is her favourite dessert.
